Youth Mentorship

Group based mentorship program designed to target kids at-risk or predisposed to violence, gang, poverty-related issues and/ or other potential anti-cultural behavior and expose them to fantastic possibilities within themselves.

Youth Camp:  Project DESTINY
The DESTINY Program Summer Day Camp! The Day Camp has standard week sessions and offers terrific opportunities for campers to indulge in- from making their own maritime sailing to indoor rock climbing. This Day camp has it all.  The project was specifically designed to give the youth of low-income families the exposure to opportunities they would normally not be able to participate in. This program offers Fun, Food and Education.

“Project KeepSake”
Our AfterSchool program was specifically designed to offer youth a safe, viable alternative during high risk hours where crime & other dysfunctional behavior tend to prevail. Instead of gangs & violence, participants can receive homework assistance, professional tutoring & other critical educational services from our professional volunteers. “Project KeepSake” is not just a program, it is a our commitment to the future. The stakes are high and Stepping Higher is investing to insure that next generation sees it.

YOUTH SUMMER EMPLOYMENT PROJECT.
In conjunction with Workforce, Stepping Higher offers the youth  of this community, the opportunity to get a “Step-Up” on the employment game. Youth learn valuable tools like:
How to write a resume, how to work an interview, proper work ethics and more.  After their education, they put their skill to the test through placement opportunities throughout the community.  Upon completion the youth can go to work for a maximum of 120 hours in the community. They earn REAL wages while experiencing challenges and the rewards of working into today’s marketplace.
